"If
you are cold, it will warm you; if you are too heated, it will cool you; if you
are depressed, it will cheer you; if you are excited, it will calm you."

Green tea, as well as other types of teas, have some amazing health benefits. Do a quick google search of “green tea benefits” and a million things will pop up. It’s plain and simple, if you’re trying to find a healthier and lighter alternative to coffee, juice, and soda, tea is the way to go.
I used to hate tea. Thought it tasted gross, bitter, and boring. Those were back in my soda drinking days. I honestly don’t know when I decided to give tea a real shot, but I’m glad I did. There’s so many varieties out there that I truly believe it’s impossible for someone to not find a tea they like.
If you’re new to tea, here’s a quick overview of the different types of non-herbal teas.
Green Tea- Green tea is made with tea leaves and holds tons of antioxidants that help prevent pancreatic, breast, lung, bladder, and pretty much any other type of cancer out there. It’s also been known to distress, unclog arties, help weight loss, lower cholesterol levels, and reduce the risk of some neurological disorders. Green tea has the lightest flavor of all teas, probably explaining why it’s my favorite.

Black Tea-According to Bigelow’s website, black tea is green tea that has been fermented for at least 6 hours., boosting its polyphenol levels (a beneficial antioxidant). Some studies show that black tea helps reduce the risk of stroke as well as protecting the lungs from smoking. Black teas have the strongest tastes and are used as the basis for other teas such as chai.
White Tea- First off, I have never tried white tea. White tea is unfermented and uncured (the most natural tea of them all). If you’re trying to reduce your chances of cancer by drinking tea, this is your best option. It has the most anti-cancerous properties. If anyone has tried white tea, let me know your opinion of the flavor.
I’m sure there will be many more tea related posts in the future but this just gives a general summary of the three of the most popular. Let me know if anybody has questions and I will do my best to find answers for them.
